Noise pollution from trams in Athens is becoming a growing concern, with experts recommending solutions to mitigate its effects.

Metro rail services to and from Athens International Airport have been restored, according to an announcement from the Athens Urban Rail Transport Company (STASY).

Tram service in the section between Asklipio Voulas and Zefyros in southern Athens will resume on July 1 after four months, the Athens Urban Rail Transport Company (STASY) said on Friday.  

The service had been suspended since March 10 due to construction work at the former airport at Elliniko to bring part of coastal Poseidonos Avenue underground.
