Boydak Holding

Boydak Holding has been transferred to the Saving Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) as part of the investigation into Turkey's failed July 15 coup attempt, Doğan News Agency reported late on Sept. 5. 

A couple of years ago when the popular discourse "Anatolian Lions" was mentioned, one of the first names that came to mind would have been the Boydak family of Kayseri. 

Two senior executives of Boydak Holding have been arrested for allegedly financing the group of U.S.-based scholar Fethullah Gülen, a former government ally now considered the head of the supposed "Fethullahist Terror Organization" (FETÖ) that allegedly aims to topple the government.

?We miss you,? said Turkish Industry and Business Association (TUS?AD) head Cansen Ba?aran-Symes, addressing board member Memduh Boydak as they were about to start TÜS?AD?s Higher Consultative Board meetings in Istanbul on Sept. 17. 

Memduh Boydak, the general manager of Boydak Holding, was released Sept. 17 along with two businessmen following their detention as a part of an operation targeting a purported terrorist organization on Sept. 16.
