Visa issues may hamper exports, says association

Problems regarding obtaining visas for EU member countries for truck divers, staff and executives working at exporting companies are posing serious challenges, says Ümit Mirza Çavuşoğlu, the president of the Western Mediterranean Exporters' Association (BAİB).

Those visa issues may lead to a significant decline in exports, Çavuşoğlu said.

Antalya to see high turnout in upcoming international meetings: FM

Turkey is expected to see a high turnout in the upcoming Southeast European foreign ministers' summit and Antalya Diplomacy Forum, the country's foreign minister said on June 16.

NATO should strengthen its political role: Turkish FM

NATO's political dimension should be strengthened, and a group of 10 experts has been formed for this purpose, Turkey's foreign minister said on April 2. 

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu made the remarks after attending a NATO foreign ministers meeting, noting the group includes Turkey's Ambassador Tacan İldem, who has been working as NATO Assistant Secretary-General for Public Diplomacy.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavosuglu says it is time to consider alternative solutions to the Cyprus issue beyond the bi-zonal, by-communal federation.

In an interview to Cyprus's Politis newspaper, Cavusoglu expresses Turkey's readiness to discuss other solutions, such as a confederation or two separate states.
