ATHEX: Strong rise for most stocks at Athinon Ave
The Greek stock market enjoyed a day of solid gains on Thursday, with banks and Coca-Cola recording considerable growth and trading volume confirming that Athinon Avenue enjoyed wider investor interest than usual. Thursday's growth added a remarkable 1.2 billion euros to the bourse's capitalization.

ATHEX: Bourse slides 1.78 percent over the week

ATHEX: Stocks head higher for another week
The benchmark index of the Greek stock market posted a weekly advance at the end of Friday's session, buoyed by Standard & Poor's credit rating upgrade for Greece and hopes that DBRS will follow suit. That enthusiasm appeared to run out of steam on Friday though, as trade slumped and the main index ended marginally lower on the day.

Greek stocks held their ground on Monday as early losses gave way to a late surge that offset the selling action and left the benchmark virtually unchanged at the beginning of the trading week. ATHEX: Robust rise continues for banks index
The banks index at Athinon Avenue enjoyed a second consecutive day of gains in excess of 4 percent on Friday, building not only on the advance of the Heracles plan for the securitization of bad loans, but also on the upward momentum observed in foreign stock markets. That also led to the benchmark attaining growth just shy of 2 percent.

EIB agrees 110 mln euro loan for Bulgaria-Greece gas link
The European Investment Bank agreed on Thursday a 110 million euros ($121 million) loan for the construction of a 182-km gas pipeline linking Bulgaria with Greece that will end Sofia's complete dependence on Russian gas and help diversify supplies in southeastern Europe.
