Hungary Could Turn Into China’s Trojan horse in Europe

Just days after this diplomatic tit-for-tat between the EU and China, the Hungarian government played host to a senior visitor from Beijing: China's defence minister. Wei Fenghe used his visit as an opportunity to condemn the EU sanctions while praising Hungary's conciliatory approach, claiming that China "has always regarded Hungary as a good brother".

The Bulgarian Development Bank Reports 20% Growth in Profit

BGN 18.3 million in profit for the first six months of this year is reported by the Bulgarian Development Bank. The increase is 20% compared to the same period of the previous year and is a result of the activation of the credit activity, the institution announced.

The Bank's portfolio grew by 7% this semester.

ADMIE turns to China for fresh funding

Greece's power grid operator ADMIE has signed a nonbinding agreement with China Development Bank as it looks for fresh capital to finance infrastructure projects.

State-controlled ADMIE and China Development Bank have signed a memorandum of understanding, aiming to help the Greek operator to gain access to fresh credit, ADMIE said on Friday.

Türk Telekom 'in talks for $500-mln loan before year end'

Turkey's largest fixed-line operator, Türk Telekom, is talking to banks to raise a loan worth up to $500 million, which it plans to close before year-end, banking sources said on Oct. 26.

The five-year deal will be syndicated with a club of regional and international banks, and is being coordinated by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, the sources said.

Serbia and China sign 13 agreements and memorandums

BELGRADE - Delegations of Serbia and China have signed 13 agreements and memorandums regarding infrastructure, transport, finances, agriculture and telecommunications.

The agreement on economic and technical cooperation between the two governments was signed on Wednesday by National Bank of Serbia Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic and China Development Bank head Hu Huaibang.
