U.S.-European auto giant Stellantis, whose brands include Fiat, Jeep and Peugeot, reported yesterday a record net profit in the first six months of the year, boosted by higher prices for its vehicles.

A top executive of Tofaş, a joint venture between Turkey's Koç Holding and Fiat-Chrysler Automotive (FCA), has been transferred to run FCA's new U.S. factory in Michigan. 

Waymo, the autonomous car subsidiary of Google's parent company Alphabet, announced at the Detroit auto show that it would develop its self-driving technology with multiple partners, positioning itself as an automotive supplier.

Fiat Serbia renamed to "FCA"

BELGRADE -- The Fiat Automobili Srbija (Fiat Automobiles Serbia, FAS) company has been officially renamed to FCA Srbija (FCA Serbia) Kragujevac d.o.o.

The Bursa, Turkey-based carmaker targets the production of 1.3 million hatchbacks, station wagons and sedans between 2016 and 2023, it said in a written statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).
