EU: We’re waiting for…Greek authorities before sending cash for migrant crisis

The European Commission on Tuesday said it stood ready to provide Hungary with emergency EU facilities as Budapest struggles to cope with the record numbers of migrants streaming across its borders.

“We are ready to create a hotspot in Hungary, because this country needs our support,” said Natasha Bertaud, a spokeswoman for the Cmmission.

The Avramopoulos factor in the conservative ND party

EU Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos may have resigned as deputy prime minister of the conservative New Democracy (ND) party but he is still keeping a watch on his party's developments.
