Fosun buys Thomas Cook, eyes Greek market
Chinese company Fosun has agreed to acquire 75 percent of UK group Thomas Cook's tour operations and 25 percent of its airline business for 450 million pounds (497 million euros) while the group's creditors - banks and bondholders - will put up a similar amount to buy 25 percent of the tour business and 75 percent of the airline business.

Fosun Tourism to takecontrol of Thomas Cook
Two global tourism giants with assets in Greece are about to join forces, Thomas Cook has suggested, announcing that it is in talks with its 15 percent stakeholder Fosun Tourism for a share capital increase in the British tour operator that will see Fosun assuming control.

Fosun eyes vacation packages for Chinese tourists in Greece, report says
Fosun International Ltd., China's largest private conglomerate, wants to use its stake in UK-listed tour operator Thomas Cook Group to offer vacation packages in Greece tailored to the needs and preferences of the Chinese market, Senior Vice President Jim Jiannong Qian has told Bloomberg.
Germans vote Greek chain Ikos world's best luxury resorts
Users of HolidayCheck, a German-language online travel portal and hotel review website, voted Greek chain Ikos Resorts the world's best in the Luxury Resorts category, after just two years in the hotel market.
The distinction comes as Ikos embarks on a 27-million-euro investment program that includes the completion of the full renovation of Ikos Oceania, at Nea Moudania, Halkidiki.

Two Greek hotels were voted among the top 25 under the “all inclusive” category in TripAdvisor’s annual “2016 Travelers Choice.” Ikos Olivia and Oceania, which belong to the Ikos Resorts chain in Chalkidiki, Macedonia, took 2nd and 6th spot, respectively. The first spot was taken by hotel Excellence Playa Mujeres in Mexico, with Tamasa hotel in Mauritius coming in 3rd.
