OTE makes progress upgrading infrastructure

Twenty of the largest archaeological sites and museums in Greece will gain access to wireless internet (Wi-Fi), according to the Ministry of Culture.

High-energy British rock band Kasabian are headlining the second day of the Ejekt Festival on Athens's southern coast on Friday, July 14, but the evening also includes enduring Scottish rockers The Jesus and Mary Chain, the legendary Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order) and his band The Light, American experimental rock band Of Montreal and Black Hat Bones, a local adrenaline-pumping act.

The Ejekt Festival returns to Plateia Nerou (Water Square) in the Faliro Delta, southern Athens, on Saturday, June 24, with bands including Las Vegas quartet the Killers, bluesy punk duo the Kills, Liverpool indie-rock band Circa Waves and Athens-based Deaf Radio slated to perform.

Ten pct tax on pay TV stopped sector's growth in its tracks
The special tax on pay-TV services introduced last year has damaged what had been one of the country's few flourishing sectors, to the extent that growth in Greece's pay-TV market ground to a virtual halt in 2016, posting a negligible increase of 0.2 percent over the 2015 level.
Cosmote TV passes 500,000-subscriber milestone
Cosmote TV, Greece's biggest pay-TV platform in terms of customers, confirmed on Monday it has exceeded 500,000 subscribers, a figure that just a few months ago only rival Nova had reached, before losing ground to the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary.
