Albanians Mull Options as Data Security Takes New Hit
Last month, Credins Bank became the latest target as the Homeland Justice hackers hit a private entity for the first time.
Authorities say they have everything under control and have banned media from reporting on the content of the leaks. But ordinary Albanians are increasingly concerned for the security of their personal data.

This time, the "dead" thing is an oil refinery in the town of Ballshi, the seat of the southern Albanian region of Mallakastra.
Shijaku bought the refinery for scrap earlier this year with a loan of nine million euros from its owner, Credins Bank. Once it's picked apart, a solar park will rise in its place by the end of 2023, he says.
Albania Holds Suspects for Bank CEO Murder
Police spokeswoman Laura Totraku announced on Tuesday that two brothers with a criminal background suspected of being connected to the murder had been arrested in the town of Fusha Kruja.
“The arrest of the two suspects was made after police gathered information on their links to the murder and their past criminal background,” Totraku said.

Albanian Banker Murdered in Mafia-Style Hit
Police spokeswoman Alma Katragjini said in a statement that 58-year-old banker Santo was shot at 9.30am local time outside his office in the central Blloku neighborhood of Tirana.
Katrigjini said that the motive for the murder was unclear; a group of investigators has been assembled to probe it.
