The Athens International Children’s and Youth Film Festival returns for its seventh year with the theme “Get Up!”—a call to face life’s challenges with optimism and courage.

The Athens International Film Festival Opening Nights celebrates its 30th edition, introducing audiences to some of the best productions of the year. This annual event offers unique cinematic experiences, showcasing new voices in global cinema. Attendees can enjoy highly anticipated films, special screenings and masterclasses with esteemed guests.

A total of 120 travel agents and journalists from German media were invited last weekend by Alltours, one of the leading German tour operators, to Corfu, to discover the beauties of the island.

"Inside Montessori," Jan Selby and Vina Kay's 2018 documentary that sheds light on the Montessori method of education by observing the youngsters and their teachers at five Montessori schools in the United States, will be screened at various locations in Athens and one in Thessaloniki between February 19 and March 3.

The Danaos cinema will be holding two special screenings of Marianna Economou's new documentary "When Tomatoes Met Wagner" with English subtitles at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, and at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16.

Marking 20 years since its launch, the annual Francophone Film Festival celebrates the cinema of the French-speaking world with a rich program of screenings and parallel events at three Athens venues: the French Institute and the Astor and Danos movie theaters.

In its 24th outing, the annual Opening Nights Athens International Film Festival boasts more than 100 new feature films from around the world, along with workshops and masterclasses, presentations and appearances by acclaimed filmmakers and other artists, as well as myriad parallel events.
