PPC pushes back bids deadline for DEDDIE

Greece's biggest electricity utility, Public Power Corporation (PPC), has pushed back the deadline for the expression of interest for a majority stake in the country's sole grid operator DEDDIE, it said on Friday.

PPC, which is 51% owned by the state, had set January 29 as the deadline for the submission of non-binding bids for DEDDIE.

Network operator DEDDIE will be closing the stretch of Karagiorgis Servias Street from Syntagma Square to Voulis, which will also be closed between Mitropoleos to Karageorgis Servias.

EIB agrees to grant PPC large loan for grid upgrade

The European Investment Bank and Public Power Corporation (PPC) agreed on Friday on a long-term loan contract worth 255 million euros for the upgrade of the country's electricity distribution network.

The new 20-year loan, guaranteed by the Greek state, constitutes one of the biggest loans the EIB has ever issued for energy investment in Greece.
