Bosnia Herzegovina buys Turkish armored vehicles for its military
Bosnia and Herzegovina is set to receive Kirpi II armored vehicles from Türkiye in March, the country's Defense Ministry has announced.
In a statement, the ministry noted that Defense Minister Zukan Helez met with representatives from BMC, one of Türkiye's leading producers of commercial and defense vehicles.
Baykar, Azerbaijan sign goodwill protocol
Turkish defense company Baykar Technology and Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry have signed a goodwill protocol for the joint production of unmanned aerial vehicle systems.
Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar and Azerbaijan Deputy Defense Minister Agil Gurbanov on April 27 attended the ceremony and signed the protocol for the production of unmanned aerial vehicle systems.

Shots fired at Turkish evacuation plane in Sudan
The Defense Ministry has stated that shots have been fired at a Turkish military plane while landing in an airport north of Khartoum, from where it was supposed to evacuate the Turkish nationals amid the ongoing internal armed conflict in Sudan.

New operation launched against PKK in Turkey’s east
Turkish security forces have launched a new domestic counterterrorism operation called "Eren Winter-20" against the PKK terrorist group in the southeastern province of Mardin.
A total of 585 security personnel, including gendarmerie forces and operational teams, will take part in Operation Eren Winter-20, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
At least seven terrorists neutralized in Syria, Iraq
Turkish forces "neutralized" four YPG/PKK terrorists in Syria's north, the Defense Ministry said.
The terrorists were targeted by Turkish commandos when they tried to infiltrate the Operation Peace Spring area, the ministry said on Twitter.
They were neutralized after opening fire on the Turkish troops, the statement noted.
Turkish soldier dies of wounds sustained in Idlib
A Turkish soldier died of injuries sustained in Idlib, Syria, Turkey's Defense Ministry said early on Sept. 12.
The soldier was severely wounded on Sept. 11 in the Idlib de-escalation zone but did not survive despite the best efforts of doctors, it said.
It offered condolences to the family of the soldier, the Turkish Armed Forces, and the Turkish nation.

Old sea mine found in Bosphorus destroyed
An exploded sea mine caught in fishermen's net in the Bosphorus has been detonated by the efforts of the military.
"A sea mine, which was caught in the net of a fishing boat and taken to a deck in the Bosphorus, was examined by an Underwater Defense [SAS] team and destroyed at the SAS Command/Riva destruction training area," the Defense Ministry said on Twitter.

Turkey nabs 3 suspects trying to flee to Greece
Three people, including two suspected members of the FETÖ, the group behind the 2016 defeated coup in Turkey, were nabbed in northwestern Turkey while trying to escape to Greece, said Defense Ministry on Sept. 4.

The suspects were nabbed by Turkish border guards in the province of Edirne, bordering Greece, the ministry said.

Turkey nabs FETÖ members trying to flee to Greece
Turkey nabbed 19 people, including 13 members of the FETÖ, while they were trying to slip out of Turkey, the Defense Ministry said on Aug. 7.

The suspects were arrested during an attempt to cross into Greece, the ministry said on Twitter.
They were caught by troops in the northwestern Edirne province near the Turkey-Greece border, it added.
