This past weekend, the political magazine Der Spiegel, known (and dreaded by some) for its exclusive insights, reported that the German government has approved large-scale arms deals with Turkey for the first time in years. These deals include the delivery of 100 guided missiles for ship air defense, 28 SeaHake torpedoes, and packages for the modernization of German-made Turkish submarines.

Gov’t rejects Der Spiegel report on dead migrant at Greek-Turkish border
Government spokesman Stelios Petsas on Friday evening rejected again a report by German magazine Der Spiegel which claimed that a Pakistani national had been shot dead, possibly by Greek soldiers, while attempting to cross from Turkey into Greece two months ago.
The report was originally published in March but on Friday the magazine published it in English.
Back to the future
The file that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis took along with him on his working visit to Berlin on August 29 contained, among other things, a copy of a story from the German magazine Der Spiegel - put there by a close associate and not by this writer.
