Thessaloniki: Deutsche Telekom IT hub to employ over 500 people in 2024
The Deutsche Telecom IT hub (DT) in Thessaloniki will be employing over 500 people by 2024, as high-ranking executives of OTE revealed today, on the occasion of the visit of the Minister of Digital Governance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, to hub facilities.

MakTel once dominated the mobile market in North Macedonia, operating since 2001 as a joint venture between the state and Magyar Telekom, the Hungarian subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. Its only competitor was the far smaller Cosmote network.
OTE Telecom Q1 profit up on strong Greek data, broadband usage
OTE Telecom, Greece's biggest telecoms operator, reported on Thursday a 3.6 percent rise in core profit thanks to increased data traffic and usage of broadband services amid the coronavirus lockdown.
OTE to cut spending to safeguard targets
OTE Telecom will cut expenses drastically to ensure it meets its targets for 2020 earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) and free cash flow, the CEO of Greece's biggest telecom operator said on Tuesday.
OTE Telecom, which is 46 percent owned and managed by Deutsche Telecom, Europe's biggest, has projected free cash flow of 350 million euros this year.

Montenegro Orders Cut in High Internet Prices
The largest internet service provider in Montenegro, Crnogorski Telekom, has been ordered to slash its prices by about a third over the next few weeks.
The company, which became part of Deutsche Telecom following privatization 10 years ago, will have to cut the price of its internet services by 25 per cent from November 1 and by 35 per cent from December 1.
