Tomorrow GERB-SDS will most likely propose Mariya Gabriel as prime minister, bTV reported.

The leading European cybersecurity magazine SC Media UK named the Bulgarian Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel as one of the 50 most influential women in Europe for 2019 in the field of cybersecurity.

Mariya Gabriel, Bulgarian Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, will visit Haskovo on November 11 to participate in the Digital Knowledge and Skills Day under the motto "Programming and Creating Together". This was announced by the Press and Media Department of the EC Delegation to Bulgaria.

The event will start at 11:00 am in the Zarya Community Center.

Commissioner Maria Gabriel is launching a project to build a Center for Excellence in Big Data, according to the European Commission press center.

The European Cybersecurity Month (ECSM) begins in all EU Member States. The campaign aims to raise awareness of cyber threats and raise the awareness of European citizens and organizations on cybersecurity issues through education and sharing of good practices.

The 31st edition of the European Union Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS), the most important student science fair in the EU, was officially opened here on Saturday.

The president-elect of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced on Tuesday the names of the proposed new European commissioners, including three women from Balkan EU member states.

The proposed names will now be put forward to the European Parliament for votes on their approval.

The Council of Ministers approved the nomination of Maria Gabriel as a member of the European Commission on behalf of the Republic of Bulgaria, the government press service announced.
