Pristina's police carry out searches in north of Kosovo-Metohija in connection with Banjska case

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Pristina's police on Wednesday carried out searches on several locations in the north of Kosovo-Metohija in connection with the Banjska case.

In a statement to Tanjug, the regional deputy chief of the so-called Kosovo Police said no arrests had been made for the time being.

National Assembly adopts Serbia's state budget for 2019

149 (out of 250) people's deputies (members of the Assembly) were in attendance, Tanjug reported.

According to the Serbian government, the new budget envisages revenues of RSD 1,246.2 billion and expenditures of RSD 1,269.1 billion, so the deficit will be RSD 22.9 billion, which is 0.4 percent of the expected gross domestic product (GDP).

Sertic: Spa privatisation postoponed temporarily

BELGRADE - The privatisation of spas in Serbia has been postponed temporarily, Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic has stated, adding that some of the spas could remain in government ownership.

The privatisation was postponed because some of them are involved in a legal dispute between the government and the state Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, he explained.

BELGRADE -- The police took six persons to the Prosecutor for Organized Crime for questioning on Wednesday on suspicion that they illegally acquired at least RSD 70mn.

This happened through abuse of the suspects' official positions held at the state-run Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (PIO).
