Spain's BBVA seeking another Turkish lender to buy: CEO
Spain's BBVA, which has a majority stake in Turkey's Garanti Bank, is looking to buy another bank in the country, BBVA chief Carlos Torres Vila has said.
BBVA is not actively in talks as there are no banks for sale, but Turkey is a strategic market, he said. "We want to grow in Turkey. We want to acquire another lender that will bring value to Garanti."

Shares of Volkswagen AG?s main Turkish distributor Do?u? Otomotiv tumbled more than 12 percent on Sept. 28, hit by concerns that the emissions cheating scandal at the German automaker could undermine sales of its local dealers.
Do?u? imports more than 14 brands including VW group marques Porsche, Skoda and Audi, as well as Volkswagen.

Turkey?s Do?an Holding has become a new distributor of Japan?s Suzuki?s car, sea vehicle and motorbike brands.
A new subsidiary of Do?an Holding, Suzuki Motor Vehicles Marketing Co, will run the sale and after-sale operations of Suzuki brands. Suzuki had previously been represented in Turkey by Haco Group.
Turkey to privatize 10 hydropower plants
Turkey's Privatization Administration (Ö?B) has opened tenders for the privatization of a total of 10 hydropower plants, the Official Gazette said on July 29.
The power plants will be privatized in three groups.

Turkish Do?an Holding has said one of its units placed a non-binding bid on the Turkish fuel distribution business of French oil producer Total.
Do?an Group completes takeover of stakes in local fuel oil company
The Do?an Group successfully completed partnership talks with local fuel oil distributor Aytemiz on March 11 and struck an official partnership deal, Do?an Holding CEO Yahya Üzdiyen said by an e-mailed statement.

There are 32 Turkish citizens on Forbes? 2015 list of billionaires, the magazine announced on late March 2.
Among these 32 people, Murat Ülker was ranked the richest person from Turkey. He is the chairman of Y?ld?z Holding, which owns U.K.-based United Biscuits and Godiva Chocolates, and has a net worth of $4.4 billion. Ülker was ranked the 368th wealthiest person in the world.
