Slovenia elected to UN Economic and Social Council
New York – The UN General Assembly elected Slovenia with 176 votes to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), one of the six principal bodies of the United Nations, responsible for coordinating the economic and social policies of the organisation.

Serbia is one of the Vice-Presidents of the next UN Climate Change Conference
In that capacity, Serbia will participate in the 2020 session in Glasgow, the environment ministry said.
At the closing of the conference, signatories to the UN Convention on Climate Change COP 25 in Madrid today, Serbia was also elected a member of the Convention Bureau on behalf of the Eastern European Group of countries, the statement added.
