Ljubljana on the list of seven green technologies that will shape our future

Ljubljana, European Green Capital 2016, was ranked fourth on the list. In the opinion of the judges, the uniform city card, Urbana, has had a significant impact on the environment as it encourages locals and tourists to forget their cars and use the bus, rent a bicycle and for the city centre which is reserved for cyclists and pedestrians, to hail the electric-powered Kavalir.

Istanbul makes audacious bid to be named European Green Capital 2017

Boastful of its environmental policy despite activists’ outcry over gargantuan projects that will lead to massive deforestation around the city, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has announced plans to enter a competition to be chosen as European Green Capital of 2017.
