Ethnic-based violations agitate North Macedonia

In North Macedonia, where a way out of the long-running political crisis still seems to be far off, ethnic and national divisions remain one of the main challenges that the new authorities face in the short run.

Ruzica Jukic, one of the country's most senior judicial officials, told BIRN on Monday that she has been given police protection after death threats were issued against her on Facebook.

"These threats came from some individuals who called for lynching and hanging. I was granted protection as a preventative measure," Jukic said.

A Closed Facebook Group created by sea coast merchants warns its participants about tax checks. This was announced by the press center of the National Revenue Agency (NRA).
