Prince Andrew named in FETÖ-linked fraud case in UK

Britain's Prince Andrew has been named in a trial over fraud involving a Turkish man and the wife of a man convicted of terrorism in Turkey.

The Duke of York received a hefty amount of money from a Turkish businessperson identified as Selman Türk, who was later accused of fraud by Nebahat İşbilen, according to court documents.

Presidents of Turkey, Niger discuss regional development

In a phone call, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Nov. 18 discussed regional developments with Mohamed Bazoum, his counterpart from the West African country of Niger.

During the call, Erdoğan said that he places great importance on relations with Niger, Turkey's Communications Directorate said in a statement.

Turkey nabs 3 suspects trying to flee to Greece

Three people, including two suspected members of the FETÖ, the group behind the 2016 defeated coup in Turkey, were nabbed in northwestern Turkey while trying to escape to Greece, said Defense Ministry on Sept. 4.

The suspects were nabbed by Turkish border guards in the province of Edirne, bordering Greece, the ministry said.

Turkish, Italian defense ministers discuss security issues

Turkey's Defense Minister Hulusi Akar discussed with his Italian counterpart on July 13, bilateral and regional security issues and the latest developments in Afghanistan, Libya and the Eastern Mediterranean, according to the Turkish National Defense Ministry.

The meeting between Akar and Lorenzo Guerini in Istanbul was constructive and positive, it said.

FETÖ threatens national security of Turkey, Kyrgyzstan: Erdoğan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on June 9 stressed the importance of the fight against the FETÖ by Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.
"Recent events have once again revealed the bloody, dark, and ugly face of FETÖ. I hope we will overcome this threat together by standing shoulder to shoulder," Erdoğan said at a joint news conference with his counterpart from Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.
