NEW YORK - Serbian FM Marko Djuric said in New York, where he is attending the 79th UN General Assembly session, that Serbia's attendance at the session had strengthened its position on the global scene and that it had established diplomatic ties with several countries it had previously had no diplomatic communication with.

SOFIA - Arrogant messages from FMs of some countries that Serbia must recognise Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence if it wants to join the EU are "counterproductive and unacceptable," Serbian FM Ivica Dacic said on Friday.

Dacic said this after an informal meeting of FMs of EU member states and candidate countries in Sofia.
