Fidan congratulates Gerapetritis for his appointment as FM
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan congratulated Greek counterpart Giorgos Gerapetritis on assuming his duties, in a phone call on Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry said on a pos on Twitter.
The ministers had a discussion and agreed to meet on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Vilnius, it added.
Ankara condemns firing at Turkish fishing boat by Syrian security forces
Türkiye has condemned the firing on a Turkish fishing boat called Mahmutcan-1, which sailed from Adana Karataş port, by two ships belonging to the Syrian regime security forces on May 28, while sailing in international waters.
The incident caused minor injuries to the two fishermen and material damage to the boat, said the Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tanju Bilgiç on May 28.
Greece expresses condolences over Ukraine helicopter crash
Greece expressed its condolences on Wednesday over the helicopter crash in a residential area near the capital of Kyiv that killed Ukraine's interior minister and about a dozen other people, including a child on the ground.
Slovenia opens consulate in Naples
Slovenia has opened a consulate in Naples, south Italy, to promote the development of economic, cultural and science relations between the two neighbouring countries.
The new consulate, headed by Jacopo Fronzoni as honorary consul, was launched on 13 January, the Foreign Ministry announced on Twitter.

Greece sends defence, humanitarian, aid to Ukraine
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has decided to send defensive military equipment and humanitarian aid to Ukraine following an emergency meeting that he chaired this morning with Defence Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Konstantinos Floros.

Turkey pledges everlasting solidarity with Azerbaijan
Turkey on Nov. 8 marked the anniversary of Azerbaijan's victory in Karabakh, expressing everlasting solidarity with the brotherly country.
"We are celebrating the victory of Azerbaijan's 44-day Patriotic War, which was crowned by liberation of the cultural capital of ancient Shusha on November 8 last year," said a Foreign Ministry statement.
Ankara condemns shooting incident at Russian university
Turkey on Sept. 20 condemned the deadly shooting at a university in Russia.
"We condemn the attack that took place [on Sept. 20] within the premises of the Perm State University which resulted in loss of lives of eight people and left many wounded," a Foreign Ministry statement said.
