Foxconn is building world's largest 'superchip' plant
Taiwanese tech giant Foxconn said on Tuesday it was building the world's largest production facility for U.S. hardware leader Nvidia's GB200 "superchips" powering artificial intelligence servers.
Foxconn, also known by its official name Hon Hai Precision Industry, is the world's biggest contract electronics manufacturer and assembles devices for major tech companies, including Apple.
Terry Gou resigns from board of Foxconn
Aspiring Taiwanese independent presidential candidate Terry Gou has resigned from the board of Foxconn, the Apple supplier he founded nearly a half-century ago.
The company issued a news release late on Sept. 2 saying Gou had resigned for personal reasons.

Chief of Taiwan gas supplier CPC resigns after power blackout
The chairman of Taiwan gas supplier CPC Corp resigned on Aug. 18, three days after a power blackout hit businesses and homes across the island, affecting nearly seven million households.
The resignation of Chairman Chen Chin-te, announced at a company news conference, comes after the island's minister for economics affairs, Chih-Kung Lee, stepped down.
Taiwan's Hon Hai seals Sharp takeover for $3.5 bln
Taiwan's tech giant Hon Hai said March 30 it had finally sealed a takeover of Japanese electronics maker Sharp in a "historic" deal worth 389 billion yen ($3.5 billion).
It is the first foreign acquisition of a major Japanese electronics firm and comes after weeks of delays, with Hon Hai buying a 66 percent controlling stake.
