Russia on Saturday said it had arrested 11 people — including four gunmen — over the attack on a Moscow concert hall claimed by ISIL, as the death toll rose to 133.

A former senior manager of Russian energy company Inter Rao, Karina Tsurkan, who was arrested in Moscow in June for alleged espionage, told news website Meduza that she is still unsure about the charges against her.

According to unofficial information, two of the victims - aged 48 and 28 - burned to death in a fire, while the third, a 36-year-old, died of smoke inhalation.

RTS said the bodies were found on Thursday night.

The police investigated the scene and informed the prosecution. The daily Blic writes that an investigation to determine the circumstances of the tragedy is under way.

Former militants from "bandit units" in Syria are now a real threat after the defeat of Islamic State, as many of them may be now planning to return to Russia, the RIA news agency cited the head of Russia's FSB security service as saying on Tuesday.

To the casual observer, the scene might’ve looked like an odd cross between a reenactment of a past war and a demonstration of a future conflict.
