Mytilineos, GE Vernova land major UK contract
Mytilineos and GE Vernova on Tuesday announced that they have been awarded a 1-billion UK pound (1.16 billion euros) contract by National Grid Electricity Transmission and SP Transmission, part of SP Energy Networks for the United Kingdom's first high-capacity east coast subsea link.

Turkey poised to set new record on exports
Turkey is set to break a new record in terms of exports, the head of the country's exporters assembly has said, noting that the export industry has now begun displaying a positive trend following the upheaval after the July 2016 coup attempt.

GE, Turkish company sign deal to support Yemen's electricity infrastructure
GE has signed a deal with Çalık Enerji to support Yemen's electricity infrastructure by supplying two units of its advanced TM2500 aeroderivative gas turbine generators, the company announced in a statement on Feb. 14.
The units will generate up to 60 megawatts of electricity, helping to provide power quickly to meet the demand for electricity in Aden, according to the statement.
EBRD, Canada's EDC and US's OPIC finance hospital in northwest Turkey
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Export Development Canada (EDC) and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), the U.S. government's development finance institution, are set to co-finance the development of a 375.75 million euro high-tech hospital in the northwestern Turkish province of Kocaeli.

Turkey raises $637 million in external financing for $1.1 bln hospitals
Some $637 million of the $1.1 billion external funding needed to develop two large city hospitals in İzmir in Turkey's west and Kocaeli in the northwest has been secured, President Recep Erdoğan said at a ceremony at the presidential palace in Ankara on Oct. 20.

Geo-archeological project finds treasure-trove of antiquities at Methoni
