Hungarian film director Karoly Makk dies aged 91

Cannes prize-winning director Karoly Makk died Wednesday at the age of 91, Hungary's Szechenyi Academy of Literature and Arts told the state news agency MTI.

Widely regarded as one of Hungary's greatest post-World War II directors, Makk gained a reputation for fearlessly tackling themes of political and sexual repression during the country's four-decade communist period.

Thieves Bore into Cellar From Paris Catacombs to Steal €250,000 of Wine

Thieves stole wine reportedly worth more than €250,000 (£230,000) after burrowing into a private cellar from the catacombs 20 metres below Paris, reported The Guardian.

Police say more than 300 bottles of vintage wine were carried out through the underground network, which comprises more than 150 miles (250km) of tunnels running beneath the city.

Death Toll in Barcelona Rises

The death toll of the attacks in Spain has risen to 14 people The Guardian reported, two of them have been named: Bruno Gulotta, a father of two, with and 44-year-old Elke Vanbockrijck from the Belgian town of Tongeren.

Earlier the officials have reported for 13 dead victims. 

EU Citizens will not Need Visas to Visit UK After Brexit

EU citizens will be free to visit the UK after Brexit without having to obtain visas, it has emerged, reported The Guardian. 

Whitehall sources confirmed reports that plans for a post-Brexit immigration system, due to be published later this year, would allow EU citizens to enter the UK freely.
