ADMIE, Hellenic Cables ink interconnection deal

Hellenic Cables, the cables segment of Cenergy Holdings, signed a contract with Greece's Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMIE) on Monday, in the context of the fourth phase of the Cyclades interconnection with the continental Electricity Transmission System, concerning the electrical interconnections of Lavrio-Serifos and Serifos-Milos, Greece, with a total length of 170 kilometers.

Santorini Interconnection – Hellenic Cables contractor of the cable section

The Independent Power Transmission Operator announced the successful completion of the tender for the cable section of the Santorini-Naxos electrical interconnection. The temporary contractor for the project with an initial budget of 100 million euros was Hellenic Cables, which bid at a price of 79.5 million euros.

Cenergy’s talks with Nexans stop

Negotiations between French multinational cable manufacturer Nexans and local Viohalco's subsidiary Cenergy Holdings on the sale of Hellenic Cables to the European giant have proved fruitless. Still, the very fact that there were such talks has placed Hellenic Cables at the center of attention among its international peers.

State property sold to Hellenic Cables subsidiary

The new management of the Public Properties Company (ETAD) has reached an agreement with Fulgor for the sale of a real estate asset at the municipality of Loutraki-Agii Theodori.

The property being acquired by the Cablel group subsidiary (Hellenic Cables) is adjacent to its existing industrial unit that produces underwater power cables, and copper and aluminum rods.

Cenergy Holdings portfolio co wins turnkey contract in Greece

Cenergy Holdings SA announced on Wednesday that Fulgor, a subsidiary of Hellenic Cables, was awarded a turnkey contract to provide Enel Green Power Hellas with submarine cable interconnection to the Greek national grid for the Kafireas onshore wind complex, located at Karystos, southern Evia.

Viohalco set to merge cable and pipe firms

Seeing the growing global demand not only for underground and underwater cables but also for natural gas pipelines, Viohalco is moving ahead with the absorption through a merger of its two listed subsidiaries Hellenic Cables and Corinth Pipeworks from another subsidiary, Belgium-based Cenergy Holdings, by the end of the year.
