Confident Trump says could 'shoot somebody' and not lose voters
U.S. Republican front-runner Donald Trump expressed confidence on Jan. 23 that he could push back attempts by his rivals to knock him off his top perch, saying he could stand on New York's Fifth Avenue "and shoot somebody," and still not lose voters.
Serbia's Opposition Parties Plot Joint Election Strategy
Serbian opposition parties have held a joint meeting to plot a common strategy just two days after Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic announced that elections will be held in spring.
The Prime Minister said national polls would be held longside local and provincial elections in the northern province of Vojvodina but did not specify a date.

The only possible election strategy that could offer any success to Serbia's liberal opposition parties is to create a coalition that could challenge Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic's ruling Progressive Party, according to analysts.

Serbia PM Announces Early General Elections
Speaking at a meeting the main board of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party on Sunday, its leader, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, said he had decided to call early parliamentary and local elections.
"It is my decision that we are going to have elections, we are going to be victorious," Vucic said, speaking to some 500 members of his party.

Polling stations opened at 7am on Sunday in Croatia, where more than 3.7 million voters have the opportunity to cast votes in parliamentary elections.
Who they will choose is hard to call after a closely fought campaign between the governing centre-left coalition and its centre-right opponents.

Majority of Turkey's Voters 'Prefer Parliamentary System' - Poll
More than half of Turkish voters have voiced preference for the current political system in the country to be preserved, an Ipsos poll suggests.
The survey was carried out on November 02, a day after the early election in which the Justice and Development Party (AKP) regained the majority it had lost in the June 07 vote.

More than half of all Turkish citizens prefer Turkey's current parliamentarian system instead of imposing a presidential system on the country, according to a survey conducted a day after the Nov. 1 snap elections by the Ipsos surveying company.
