The coronavirus crisis should herald a change in Greece's production model, prompting a shift away from its tourism-dependent economy, the ongoing Delphi Economic Forum was told on Thursday.

The Delphi Economic Forum and the E-Kyklos think tank are organizing an online debate titled "The Day After in Greek-Turkish Relations," with the participation of former foreign ministers Evangelos Venizelos and Dora Bakoyiannis and former defense minister Evangelos Apostolakis.

SAS, one of the market leaders in analytics and artificial intelligence, is organizing a special series of free virtual sessions titled "The Analytics Response," to discuss the conditions the coronavirus has created and how major enterprises have reacted and managed the issue in Greece and Cyprus. 

A day after energy giant ExxonMobil announced it had discovered a natural gas reservoir in Cyprus's Block 10, US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt said US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is likely to participate in the next trilateral summit between Greece, Cyprus and Israel which will be held in March in Israel.

Washington supports Cyprus's right to develop its resources in its exclusive economic zone (EEZ), US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt said Thursday.

Cyprus is making progress in the digital era but it still has some way to go before it gets where it wants to be. This appears to be the general conclusion from the "Cyprus in the Digital Agenda" conference which took place a few days ago, organized by Kathimerini newspaper's Cyprus edition and the SPP Media Group in Nicosia.
