Cyprus rejects reports of airspace closure amid Middle East tensions

Cyprus rejected reports of an airspace closure on Friday, confirming that flights to and from the island are operating normally.

This clarification comes as airlines cancel services to Israel and Lebanon due to heightened tensions following recent assassinations of senior Hamas and Hezbollah members.

Amsterdam airport to ban private jets, night flights

Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport has said that it would stop night flights and bar private jets in a bid to cut greenhouse gas emissions and noise pollution.

Aircraft will be banned from taking off between midnight and 6 a.m. and will not be allowed to land before 5 a.m., Royal Schiphol Group chief executive Ruud Sondag said in a statement.

Lufthansa stops Flights to Kyiv and Odessa

German airline Lufthansa has announced that it will suspend flights to the Ukrainian capital Kyiv from tomorrow due to growing fears of a Russian invasion.

The airline said it would also suspend flights to Odessa, a key Black Sea port.

"The safety of our passengers and crew is our top priority at all times," Lufthansa said.

KLM resumes Amsterdam-Athens connection

KLM is expected to resume flights from Amsterdam to Greece on June 6, according to an announcement on Tuesday.

The Dutch airline said that the initial plan is for five flights a week to Athens International Airport from Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport in the context of a gradual restoration of the airline's European network, which includes Greece.
