At Paris Olympics, some firms won gold for product placement

The Paris Olympic medals will be carried in Louis Vuitton trays

At the Paris Olympics, the medals will be presented on Louis Vuitton trays, covered with the house’s signature Damier canvas. LVMH, a leading partner of the Paris Olympics, unveiled the design on Tuesday. They also revealed 1920s-inspired uniforms for the 515 volunteers selected by the Paris 2024 organizing committee to present the medals.

Giving a second life to fashion’s deadstocks

Lamborghini has already sold all its cars until 2024

Italian sports car maker Lamborghini has already pre-sold the entire production run to early 2024, its boss has said, with luxury goods seemingly unaffected by global economic uncertainty.     

The Volkswagen subsidiary is enjoying "high demand" and has an order book covering the next 18 months, CEO Stephan Winkelmann said.    

Billionaires’ share of global wealth soars during pandemic

The share of global wealth of the world's richest people soared at a record pace during the Covid pandemic, a report on inequality showed on Dec. 7.    

Since 1995, the slice held by billionaires has risen from one percent to three percent, according to the World Inequality Report.
