Greek grid operator ADMIE has struck a deal with French investment firm Meridiam for the long-anticipated Cyprus-Greece electricity cable project, which aims to connect the Greek and Cypriot grids, per a Bloomberg report. This means the Greek company has secured new funding and a strategic partner.

French investment firm Meridiam has agreed to acquire a 49.9% stake in the Great Sea Interconnector consortium, seeking to link the transmission networks of Greece, Cyprus and eventually Israel, according to Bloomberg. 

French President Emmanuel Macron expressed interest in the Great Sea Interconnector, the power link between Crete and Cyprus, at his telephone call with his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulides, on Saturday.

Sofia Airport is set to undergo a significant transformation with the introduction of Terminal 3, aimed at establishing the airport as the first 5-star regional hub in Europe. The conceptual design for this new terminal was revealed today by SOF Connect, the airport's operator.
