Sanctions and Market Shifts Lead to Unprecedented Losses for Gazprom in 2024
Gazprom reported a record loss of 480.6 billion rubles (about 5.6 billion US dollars) for the first half of the year. This follows last year's annual loss of 629 billion rubles (approximately 6.9 billion dollars), the first in over two decades. In 2022, Gazprom had recorded a profit of 1.23 trillion rubles.

The International Court of Arbitration has ruled against Iran in its gas dispute with Turkey, Shana news agency quoted the managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company, Hamid-Reza Araqi, as saying Feb. 2.

Oil pipeline attacked in eastern Turkey
The Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline has been attacked in the eastern province of ??rnak, Turkish Energy Taner Y?ld?z said on July 29, as reported by Anadolu Agency.
In a statement released by the Energy Ministry, Y?ld?z said the suspected sabotage bombing took place 18 kilometers inside the Cizre district of ??rnak province, next to the border with Iraq.

Iran to boost gas exports to Turkey
Iran plans to increase its gas exports to Turkey by bolstering its gas pressure facilities in Tabriz, Tehranâs official news agency IRNA reported on Aug. 16.
