Sanctions and Market Shifts Lead to Unprecedented Losses for Gazprom in 2024

Gazprom reported a record loss of 480.6 billion rubles (about 5.6 billion US dollars) for the first half of the year. This follows last year's annual loss of 629 billion rubles (approximately 6.9 billion dollars), the first in over two decades. In 2022, Gazprom had recorded a profit of 1.23 trillion rubles.

Oil pipeline attacked in eastern Turkey

The Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline has been attacked in the eastern province of ??rnak, Turkish Energy Taner Y?ld?z said on July 29, as reported by Anadolu Agency.     

In a statement released by the Energy Ministry, Y?ld?z said the suspected sabotage bombing took place 18 kilometers inside the Cizre district of ??rnak province, next to the border with Iraq.
