Pirate broadcaster shut down, two unionists arrested
The head of the public broadcaster’s employees’ union and the same group’s treasurer were arrested atop an Athens hill on Wednesday by police for the illegal transmission of a radio signal.
The two men, long-time unionists Panagiotis Kalfagiannis and Dimitris Kounis, has arrived at the Attikon Alsos hilltop to check on the transmitters broadcasting the ERT Open signal.
ERT resumed broadcasting at 6 a.m.
ERT resumed broadcasting at 6 a.m. on Thursday with the Greek national anthem while the old logo was restored to television monitors. The old ERT logo was restored to monitors.
The opening is marked with a concert in the forecourt of the broadcasting building on Mesogeion Street at 8 p.m. on Thursday by the ERT musical ensembles with a number of artists and musicians.

Former state broadcaster to reopen under previous name
Greek state-broadcaster Nerit reverts to its previous ERT moniker at 6 a.m. on Friday, on the two-year anniversary of the closure of ERT and its affiliates by the then Samaras government.
ERT’s closing in June 2013 generated a firestorm of criticism by the political opposition at the time, and heated responses by press unions, in the country and abroad.

Bill on 'new ERT' goes to consultation
A draft bill foreseeing the reinstatement of former state broadcaster ERT, which was abruptly closed down in June 2013 by the previous conservative-led administration, was made available for public consultation on Monday ahead of its anticipated submission in Parliament from Thursday onward.

Greece's Eurovision entries, pick and choose (all five videos)
Greece's entry represent the country in the 60th Eurovision song competition will take place on March 4 in an event organized by public broadcaster, NERIT, in cooperation with the music vid channel Mad TV.
The following songs have been chosen to represent Greece and will be heard in the order presented below following a draw.

The Greek national broadcaster NERIT and MADTV are about to announce the five participants for Eurovision 2015. The country will choose one of five participants to represent it, after Shaya (Mariana) Hansen slid through to be included in the lineup with the finals set for early March.

Prosecutor calls soccer chiefs to answer questions over attack on referee
A prosecutor who deals with sporting issues has called the chairmen of two of Greeces biggest soccer clubs as well as the head of the countrys soccer federation to answer questions relating to an assault on a referee last week.
NERIT in fresh upheaval after another official resigns
Another member of the supervisory council of NERIT tendered his resignation on Friday in protest at alleged government intervention in the operation of the state broadcaster.
