Nurol Holding

BNA, a recently established joint venture between Turkey's Nurol Holding and the United Kingdom's BAE Systems, signed a deal with Germany-based AES Aerospace Embedded Solutions on May 10 to develop and make electronic engine control systems for the company. 

A number of new defense technologies have been rolled off at the 13th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF), which kicked off in Istanbul on May 9, with indigenous projects putting their mark on the event.  
    
Among the attractions are two Turkey-made missiles, Gökdoğan and Bozdoğan. 

Sixteen Turkish workers abducted four weeks ago by armed militants in Iraq have been released and are with embassy officials, Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu said on his Twitter account on Sept. 30. 

Deputies from the Republican People's Party (CHP) arrived in Baghdad on Sept. 5 to monitor rescue efforts for 18 abducted Turkish workers, official sources said, as daily Hürriyet reported that the workers were taken away in 16 vehicles by the kidnappers.
