Bulgarian Died in Mount Olympus
Bulgarian died in Mount Olympus, Greek Rescue Service reported. The climber died on Saturday of severe injuries. According to initial information, he fell into a rocky slot in an extremely risky terrain.
The rescue operation, which lasted more than five hours, involved the fire brigade. They managed to provide first aid to the Bulgarian, but a little later he died.

Bulgarian climber dies on Mt. Olympus
A Bulgarian climber fell to his death high on Mt. Olympus Saturday.
The man had fallen in a gully called "Louki tou Stefaniou" earlier Saturday.
He was retrieved by local firemen and the Fire Service's Special Squad, but did not survive.

Teen rescued on Mount Olympus is well in his health, says hospital
An underage hiker who was injured while climbing Mount Olympus in central Greece is well in his health, the hospital where he was transferred said in a statement Saturday.

Greek PM arrives at fire-ravaged Evia island
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday visited the Greek island of Evia where a huge wildfire prompted the evacuation of villages and spurred an appeal from authorities for assistance from European Union partners.
Mitsotakis was expected to visit the Fire Department's Olympos (Olympus) mobile unit to be briefed on progress fighting the fire.

Climber, 60, rescued on Mount Olympus
A Hellenic Air Force Super Puma helicopter crew and firefighters on Monday rescued a 60-year-old climber who had slipped on the slopes of Mount Olympus earlier in the day.
A fellow climber reported to the authorities that the climber had fallen into a gorge in the area of Louki after losing his balance.

(As far as I know Serbs have their own version of the Zana, the Vila). One of the best Bulgarian water polo players Martin Kirov died yesterday in a hospital in Greece after falling as he ascended Mount Olympus in northern Greece, BNT reported.
He was part of a small group of Bulgarians who were trying to climb the hard-to-reach area of Cofto.
Bulgarian climber dies of injuries sustained on Mount Olympus trail
A 25-year-old Bulgarian climber died while scaling Mount Olympus on Monday, state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported.
The man was injured and trapped at the trail near Kofto, at an altitude of 2,300 meters. He was rescued by fellow climbers who transferred him to the Zolota refuge and from there he was airlifted to AHEPA hospital in Thessaloniki.
