'Hungary unaffected by Ukrainian gas transit cut thanks to TurkStream pipeline'
Hungary is confident it will not be impacted by the impending halt in natural gas transit through Ukraine, thanks to the TurkStream pipeline, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has stated.
The agreement on natural gas transit via Ukraine is set to expire at the beginning of the new year, raising supply concerns for European countries reliant on Russian energy.
Treasury-held shares of 12 companies transferred to TVF
The shares of 12 companies held by the Treasury have been transferred to the Türkiye Wealth Fund (TVF), according to a presidential decree published in the Official Gazette on Aug. 20.
Among those companies whose shares were transferred are stock exchange-listed Koza Altın, Koza Anadolu Metal and İpek Doğal Enerji.
Türkiye and Turkmenistan seek to boost gas trade to 300 bcm
Türkiye and Turkmenistan aim to have an annual gas trade volume of 15 billion cubic meters (bcm) in the next 20 years, amounting to 300 bcm, the Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Ministry has said.

BOTAŞ signs LNG trade deal with ExxonMobil
The Turkish Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) has signed an LNG (liquefied natural gas) trade deal with ExxonMobil, Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar has said.
Bayraktar, who traveled to the U.S. to hold talks on energy, announced the agreement on social media platform X.

No gas price hike in December, says BOTAŞ
Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) has announced that natural gas prices for households and industrial users have been kept unchanged for December.
There will be no change in the price of natural gas used in electricity generation as well, the company added.

BOTAŞ, Gazprom dismiss reports on takeover
The Turkish Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) has dismissed reports in certain Turkish media outlets speculating that the company will be taken over by Russia's Gazprom.
The claims suggesting that BOTAŞ may be sold or transferred to a country or to a company are untrue," BOTAŞ said in a statement.

Pipeline to carry Black Sea gas to system completed
The 36-kilometer pipeline and measurement station that will transfer the natural gas extracted from the Black Sea to the national system has been completed.
For the passage of the pipeline, many obstacles such as roads, rivers and swamps were overcome, while an "automatic welding machine" was used for the first time for "zero error."
Price of natural gas used in electricity production reduced
Prices of natural gas used in electricity production have been reduced, while gas prices for households have been kept unchanged for January.
The Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (Botaş) announced that the price of gas used was cut by 12.75 percent to 18,000 Turkish Liras/1,000 cubic meters.
The price of natural gas households consume was kept at 4,080 liras/1,000 cubic meters.
Gas, electricity prices hiked
Natural gas and electricity prices have been hiked, authorities have announced, citing rising costs globally.
Electricity prices for households were increased by 20 percent, effective Sept. 1, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) said in a statement.
Under the new tariff, households will pay 173.5 Turkish Liras/100 kilowatts per hour.
