EIB vicepresident announces tripling of support for Romanian economy up to 1.38 billion euro
Vicepresident of the European Investment Bank (EIB), Andrew McDowell, stated on Thursday, in Bucharest, that the European Investment Bank Group is tripling its support for Romanian companies, from 500 million euro up to 1.38 billion euro.
Belgrade Red Cross gets van for humanitarian aid transport
BELGRADE - ProCredit Bank from Belgrade donated on Thursday a cargo van to Red Cross Belgrade that will be used to transport humanitarian aid to the flooded areas.
Red Cross Belgrade Secretary Ivana Marisavljevic Dasic thanked the donor and added that the vehicle's first destination would be Obrenovac, where it will deliver furniture donated by the company Jugodrvo to 50 families.
Net gains of top 5 Serbia's banks total RSD 26.17 billion
BELGRADE - Top five banks in Serbia recorded net gains of RSD 26.17 billion at the end of 2013, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) released.
On the other hand, the latest NBS quarterly report on the banking sector shows that five banks which operated with least success at the end of 2013 recorded net losses of RSD 28.25 billion.
Bulgarian Banker Proposes Ban On Fast Credit Ads
A Bulgarian banker proposes a ban on the ads for fast credits.
In an interview for a Bulgarian-language daily, the chairperson of the oversight board of Procredit Bank, Petar Slavov, said the ads motivating undue consumption, should be banned.

NBS releases data on bank interest rates
BELGRADE - Erste Bank has the highest unauthorized overdraft interest rate, 81.56 percent, of all the Banks in Serbia, while Dunav banka has the lowest, 16.34 percent, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has said.
