An Israeli ground invasion of Lebanon could trigger ‘apocalyptic’ scenes and lead to all-out war, warns a high-ranking diplomat from Lebanon, explaining that the Israel Defense Forces would face troops trained by the British.

Israeli fighter jets carried out strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon late Thursday, targeting around 30 rocket launchers and associated military facilities. The launchers reportedly contained approximately 150 canisters designed for launching rockets towards Israeli territory.

 Türkiye, along with a number of countries, issued travel advisories for their citizens who are in Lebanon or plan to travel there amid an escalation of tensions following the assassinations of a top commander of Hezbollah and the political chief of Hamas.

Israel is on high alert, anticipating retaliation from Iran and its allies following the funerals of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders in Tehran and Beirut.
