Iranian President Declares End of Islamic State
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani declared the end of Islamic State on Tuesday in an address broadcast live on state TV, reported Reuters.
A senior commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, Major General Qassem Soleimani, also declared the end of Islamic State in a message sent to the country's supreme leader Tuesday which was published on Sepah News, the news site of the Guards.

Iran says its missiles into Syria hit ISIL targets
Iran's Revolutionary Guards said yesterday missiles it fired into Syria had successfully hit Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) targets in retaliation for Tehran attacks claimed by the jihadists earlier this month.

Iran showcases new combat drone, copied from US unmanned aircraft
Iran's Revolutionary Guards unveiled a home-built drone that they said was capable of carrying bombs, state media reported on Oct. 1, in what appeared to be another copy of a reconnaissance U.S. drone that Iran captured five years ago.
The drone, called Saegheh, or lightning, was unveiled at an expo showcasing the latest achievements by the Revolutionary Guards' aerospace arm.
Iranian MPs arrive in Damascus before joint offensive
A delegation of Iranian lawmakers arrived in Damascus on Oct. 14 in the build-up to a joint operation against insurgents in northwest Syria, and said U.S.-led efforts to fight rebels had failed.
