SOCAR Interested in Gas Distribution in Bulgaria
Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR is interested in gas distribution in Bulgaria, Director of SOCAR Balkan company Murad Heydarov told Trend July 13.
Back in 2015, the Bulgarian government presented a set of projects on energy cooperation to Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani Gas will Reach Bulgaria in 2 Years
Today, the Southern Gas Corridor, which will transport Azerbaijani gas to Europe, was officially opened, bTV reported.
It is expected that the Caspian blue fuel will reach Bulgaria after 2 years.

Turkey's Star refinery to launch in October
SOCAR Turkey, an affiliate of Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR, will launch the Star refinery with a $6.3 billion investment in İzmir in October, the general manager of the refinery said on May 21.

SOCAR’s $6 bln oil refinery in Turkey to start up in third quarter of 2018
The first new oil refinery to be built in Turkey in 30 years will start up in the third quarter of 2018, the builder and operator Azeri state energy firm SOCAR said on Feb. 22.
Azerbaijan Ready to Invest in Bulgaria's gasification
Azerbaijan, via its state energy company SOCAR, is ready to engage in Bulgaria's gasification at its own expense. The statement was made by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of a visit by the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borissov to the central Asian country, EurActiv reports.

The deadline for the submission of binding offers for the 66 percent controlling stake in gas grid operator DESFA has been put off from December 22 to January 2018.
State sell-off fund TAIPED accepted a request to that effect submitted by candidate investors last week, as they want more time to prepare their offers.

BP, Azerbaijan extend oilfield contract
British oil giant BP and energy-rich Azerbaijan on Sept. 14 prolonged their sharing deal for the Caucasus nation's largest oilfields until 2050.
"This time round, the contract is being signed on better terms for Azerbaijan," the ex-Soviet nation's President Ilham Aliyev said during a signing ceremony in the capital, Baku.
