Bulgarian Dairy Farmer Charged with Defrauding EU Funds
The European Prosecutor's Office has charged a Bulgarian dairy farmer with fraudulently obtaining 237,000 euros in EU funds. The farmer is accused of submitting forged documents to secure funds for building a milk processing workshop. He had initially requested 474,000 euros from the State Fund "Agriculture" and presented a bank guarantee for the advance payment of half the amount.
Bulgarian Tobacco Growers Will Receive BGN 81 mln For the 2018 Harvest
The Management Board of State Fund Agriculture distributes another BGN 3.2 million to farmers who have suffered financial damages, reported NOVA TV.
BGN 81 million will be paid under the Transitional National Tobacco Support Scheme - the 2018 harvest. This was announced by the State Fund for Agriculture.
