Omicron: 10 Bulgarian Citizens took off from an Airport in South Africa

So far, the tests for coronavirus of all passengers, who were evacuated today with a flight of the Romanian airline TAROM from South Africa, are negative, the head of the Emergency Situations Department Raed Arafat was quoted as saying by AFP.

Romania's national airline Tarom has used a Boeing 737-800 aircraft for a humanitarian flight to Vietnam from Bucharest via Dubai and Saigon, to fly 199,200 COVID-19 vaccine doses donated by Romania. The flight took place on August 23.

Romanian air transport company TAROM introduces on Tuesday flights from Bucharest to Rome and Milan and back, according to an announcement on its Facebook page.

January 7 this year marks the 50th anniversary of a round-the-world trip by a TAROM IL-18 aircraft, which took 80 hours of flight on a distance of 47,000 kilometers, with stopovers in several major cities around the globe.

The acquisition by Romania's national air carrier TAROM of five Boeing 737-MAX 8 aircraft is part of a wider contract that also provides for the commencement of procedures for the Technical Division of TAROM to become an official Boeing partner, the Transport Ministry said Monday in a press statement.

Romania's national airline Tarom faces a government investigation after it reported more significant losses in the first half of 2017. The company has not made a profit since 2007.

The general manager of the company resigned on Monday after a row with Prime Minister Mihai Tudose over the poor results of the company.

Romania's cash-strapped national airline, Tarom, is to open preliminary talks with several companies interested in restructuring and taking a significant stake in the state-controlled company.
