Versailles reopening Marie-Antoinette's private rooms
The chateau of Versailles will reopen the private rooms of Queen Marie-Antoinette as part of its ongoing 400th anniversary celebrations.
The restored apartments will reopen to the public on June 27, featuring 100 square metres of luxurious living space where France's last queen played with her children and received friends.

The annual Drama Short Film Festival is traveling to Athens' Trinon movie theater for a week of screenings. These have been divided into sections, starting at 7 and 9 p.m. on weekdays and at 5, 7 and 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday. The sections comprise the entirety of the festival's Greek selections and the award-winning foreign entries.

The first in the Hammer Horror series of films inspired by Bram Stoker's "Dracula," Terence Fischer's 1958 production starring Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Michael Gough and Melissa Stribling, will be screened in all its blood-chilling Technicolor glory as part of the Athens Open-Air Film Festival, on Tuesday, July 25, starting at 9.30 p.m.

Fantasticon Festival | Athens | June 9 & 10
The Trianon open-air movie theater is hosting the Fantasticon Classic Movies Festival on June 9 and 10, starring a slew of valiant warriors, fantastical creatures and revolutionaries of dystopian societies. Friday's screenings are "Fire and Ice" (English, 1983) at 6.30 p.m., "Legend" (English, 1985) at 8.10 p.m. and "The City of Lost Children" (French, 1995) at 10 p.m.

Celtic Music | Athens | May 20-21
The Celtic Music Festival returns to Athens for a third edition this weekend. Starting at 7.30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the Trianon theater, the lineup includes David Alexander, the Curfa Gaelic Choir, Scott Mavroudis on the uilleann pipes and Reamonn Devlin on the bodhran, also known as the Irish frame drum, as well as local advocates of Celtic melodies.
