Greece condemns deadly Ankara attack
Greece's Foreign Ministry on Wednesday condemned a deadly attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries facilities in Ankara earlier in the day, with a post on social media X.
"The attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries facilities in Ankara, like any terrorist attack, should be unequivocally condemned. Indiscriminate violence has no place in a democracy," the ministry said.

Turkey says some dead, injured after attack at state aviation site
A deadly attack was carried out at the Turkish Aerospace Industries' headquarters near Ankara on Wednesday, the government said, as broadcasters showed footage of several armed assailants entering the building amid reports of gunfire and a loud explosion.
Hürjet conducts first supersonic flight
The Hürjet, a domestically developed jet trainer aircraft by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), has successfully completed its first supersonic flight.
The jet took off from the capital Ankara's Mürted Airport at 9:45 a.m. on Oct. 21 and reached speeds exceeding Mach 1 (the speed of sound) during the test.

55 Turkish firms attend int’l defense expo in Azerbaijan
Some 55 Turkish defense contractors participated in the Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition ADEX held in Baku, showcasing homegrown aircraft and more.
The Turkish defense companies that participated in the expo include Aselsan, Roketsan, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), Roketsan, Asfat, Baykar, and Ulak Communication, as well as the Turkish Defense Industry Agency (SSB).
Turkish-made Hürjet aircraft performs at Egypt airshow
The Turkish-made Hürjet training aircraft performed a demonstration flight over the pyramids of Egypt on Sept. 4.
The nearly 10-minute display was part of Türkiye's effort to highlight its aerospace products at the Egypt International Airshow.
Hosted by Egypt's Defense Ministry and air force, the three-day exhibition concluded on Sept. 5.
Türkiye, Spain engage in talks over aircraft swap
Türkiye and Spain are in advanced negotiations over a potential military aircraft swap, daily Hürriyet has reported.
The deal, which could see Türkiye acquiring Airbus A400M military jets in exchange for its domestically produced Hürjet training aircraft, is valued at around 720 million euros ($793 million).

Türkiye aims fully independent defense industry: Erdoğan
Türkiye will continue its efforts to achieve complete independence in the defense industry, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Friday.
"We will not stop or turn back from our path until we achieve the goal of a fully independent Türkiye in the defense industry," Erdoğan said at a rally in the northern province of Çankırı.
Erdoğan says Türkiye 'transitioning to global power'
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said yesterday that Türkiye is evolving from a regional force to a global power.
"With the help of God and the support of our nation, we have brought all those who oppose Türkiye to their knees. We have never backed down in the face of attempts to invade the country," Erdoğan said during a rally in southern Adana city on Feb. 25.
Erdoğan lauds domestic weapons in fight against terrorism
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has declared commitment to fighting terrorism with domestically produced weaponry.
"We put an end to the picture of a country procuring most of the weapons it uses in the fight against terrorism from abroad," Erdoğan stated during a rally in Denizli on Feb. 22.
