Greece has shortlisted nine investors in a tender for a minority stake in Athens International Airport (AIA), the country's biggest, its privatisation agency said on Friday.

The sale is crucial for Greece which emerged from international bailouts in 2018 and is aiming for privatisation receipts of 2.4 billion euros ($2.7 billion) this year.

Greek state privatization fund HRADF or TAIPED) on Tuesday announced that 10 investment schemes have expressed their interest for a 30 percent stake in Athens International Airport (AIA), owned by the fund.

The board says: "On july 15, 2019, President of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Aleksandar Vucic and President of the Republic of France, H.E. Emmanuel Macron marked the official start of work on modernization of Belgrade Airport 'Nikola Tesla', carried out by the company "VINCI Airports".

These investments in the infrastructure of the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, will be in addition to regular annual concession fees, the Serbian government said on its website.

BELGRADE - France's VINCI Airports, which has been awarded a 25-year concession to run Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport, expects the concession agreement to be signed in Q1 2018.

French construction group Vinci Airports has been awarded a 1.5 billion euros ($1.8 billion) 25-year concession to run Belgrade airport, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Jan. 6.

Vucic told TV Pink on Tuesday that there were four bidders, "from Switzerland, France; Indians and Greeks, Koreans, Turks and Russians" - which, according to him, speaks to the interest that exists in the airport.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said this on Wednesday, adding that the concession would be fully transparent and that the concessionaire would also be paying an annual fee.

Asked whether Air Serbia was in a crisis, Brnabic told RTS that the carrier was trying to operate in a very demanding market, and that it was succeeding.

A consortium which includes Turkey's TAV Airports (TAV) has received preliminary qualification to place a bid for the Private-Public-Partnership (PPP) Regional Airports Project in the Philippines, said the company in a written statement to the Public Disclosure Platform on Sept. 21.
