Brussels Airlines returns to Ljubljana airport

Brnik – Air carriers keep returning to Ljubljana airport as, after more than a one-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a Brussels Airlines aircraft touched down at Brnik again on Monday. The flag carrier of Belgium currently operates three flights a week to and from Ljubljana, and the number of flights is expected to increase.

Wizz Air to gradually reopen 27 air routes operated from Romania to nine other countries

A number of 27 routes operated from some airports in Romania to destinations in nine countries will be gradually reopened by Wizz Air, according to a press release of the airline, sent to AGERPRES on Friday. The reopening of the flights will take place until June 6.

Wizz Air Announces Seven New Routes from Bourgas in 2021

Wizz Air announced today a new seasonal base in Bourgas. The airline will base 1 Airbus A320 aircraft at Bourgas airport between 10 June and 12 September 2021. Along with the establishment of the new base, Wizz Air announced seven additional new services to seven countries from Bourgas starting from June 2021. 

‘Seaside destinations will be incredibly popular’ this summer

As a hedge against the deep uncertainty, airlines are likely to push point-to-point trips to European summer destinations.

Planned flights to France, Greece and Portugal are down by less than 8% on pre-crisis 2019 levels, while Egypt and Tunisia are down by a quarter, according to flight data specialist OAG - although all are set to fall further.

Wizz flights between Greece and Abu Dhabi resume

As of last Friday the new national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, Wizz Air, has resumed connections between Abu Dhabi and Greece.

The first flight connected Athens with Abu Dhabi, with Thessaloniki set to follow from February 4.

As of February 17, the airline will fly from Athens three times per week and from Thessaloniki twice weekly.
