Today is the World Book Day
World Book Day, also known as World Book and Copyright Day, or International Day of the Book, is an annual event organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to promote reading, publishing, and copyright. The first World Book Day was celebrated on 23 April in 1995, and continues to be recognized on that day.

National Palace of Culture Will Host the Harry Potter Book Night
For the third consecutive year, the National Palace of Culture will host the Harry Potter Book Night, reported Novinite.bg
Fun games and readings for the little magician will be among the highlights. Seventh February was declared a World Book Day for Harry Potter, the Director of ''Peroto'' club (Club Feather) at the National Palace of Culture Svetlozar Zhelev said.

Alexis Akrithakis | Athens | To June 3
"The Stories of Alexis Akrithakis" pays tribute to the pioneering Greek artist's fascination with the written word by bringing together some of his more narrative pieces, as well as books, stories and notes. Athens named emerging cultural city of the world
Athens was named the Emerging Cultural City of the Year for 2017 at the Leading Culture Destinations Award in London on Friday. The Greek capital was lauded for managing to a maintain a thriving cultural scene despite the country's protracted financial crisis.

Donors Campaign for Books Being Organized on The World Book and Copyright Day
On the World Book and Copyright Day 23 April the club "Chitalishte.to" is organizing a donors campaign for books, reported BNR. They will be send to different community centers in Bulgaria.
The books will be collected from 11:00 to 15:00 at the "Chitalishte.to" 's office on the "Lom" Street in Sofia.
